Description

The Minimax ME 28ET is an automatic edge bander with glue pot and pre-milling unit to edge band. Offering great flexibility with melamine edges the ME 28ET finishes PVC and ABS up to 3mm and wooden strips up to 5mm. 

Pre-milling unit

Panel edge surface without any imperfections before the gluing operation through the removal operation that corrects any panel imperfections caused by the saw cutting process and panel storage. The independent exhaust system ensures the panel cleaning removing dust and chips from the panel. No 4 different thickness removals: 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 / 2mm 

Designed for a perfect finish

The very best finishing of the panel edge is also guaranteed by the panel conveying track (exclusive solution), which prevents the panel having the feed affected by the typical pulses generated by the pinion of a traditional feed track and ensures a smooth and linear panel movement

Simple and intuitive 

Error-free machining is ensured by the control panel positioned on the front of the machine, that allows an easy selection of all the main functions, among them, the operating units switching on and off. The PLC guides the operator during maintenance, cleaning, diagnostic operations, etc. 

Pre-Milling Unit

Complete with (1) diamond tool, 80mm diameter. It is equipped with exhaust hood and an air blower which cleans the panel from dust and chips. 4 possible removals: 0.5-1-1.5-2mm thickness, vertically adjustable 

Glue Pot Unit, Edge Loading and Pressing System

• Hot melt glue with quick heat up system and internal teflon coating to allow an easy glue change
• Glue application on the panel by a glue spreading roller

End Cutting Unit

For 90° end cutting of front and rear exceeding edge. The blade alignment with reference to the cutting point is carried out using a copying device which ensures a constant and precise cutting under any working condition 

Top and Bottom Trimming Unit

Equipped with one motor and with vertical and horizontal copying pads for an accurate positioning of tools with reference to the cutting point. The edge thickness is shown by a numeric readout. Changing between radius and flat trimming can be easily performed by adjusting the tool position. It allows the trimming of 1-2-3mm PVC/ABS edges. Pair of knives included.

Edge Scraping Unit

For the finishing of 1-2-3mm PVC/ABS edges. It assures an excellent vibration free finish thanks to its high rigidity structure. High working precision thanks to the horizontal and vertical copying pads (with chrome plated surfaces), which assure an accurate positioning of the knives in relation to the cutting point. Manual exclusion of the unit 

Brushing Unit

Tilted, vertically adjustable motors to optimize the cleaning and polishing of the edge
