Slip Rolls
Slip rolls are used in the metal forming process of bending and designed to bend sheet metal and plate. Generally three wide cylindrical rollers are positioned within the machine on three parallel axes with the plate or sheet rolling between the top roller and the lower two. As the plate or sheet is fed into the machine, the top roller is incrementally lowered, generating uneven force on the material thus bending it. The material is fed back and forth through the rollers until the desired bend is achieved. Most slip rolls are hand operated, however some can be powered by electric motors.
In metalworking, it is essential to use a high-quality slip roll, or slip roller, that gives you smooth and even results. In addition to performance, the slip roll in your shop should be designed for safety as well as easy to use and maintain. Elite Metal Tools has the slip roll for your shop or business that meets all of your required specifications. Shop for slip rolls based on the maximum forming width you need, as well as the diameter of the rolls and gauge capacity. Whether you have a small private shop or a large HVAC operation, you will be sure to find a slip roll that suits your needs.
