Strut Cutters

Struts are structural elements in construction which provide support to components under compression. They are used to support, mount, and brace light structural loads. Strut channel is used in electrical, plumbing, and, HVAC, and other mechanical applications. Typically made from steel and aluminum, they are folded in a manner that allows them to be lightweight yet rigid. Strut channel generally has holes in the base to subtract the overall weight and facilitate interlocking and easy extension.  There is a wide variety of strut channel for a variety of applications, however, there are standard dimensions that are more popular than others.

Strut cutters are essential for contractors who use strut channel on a regular basis. Each cutter has specialized opening for different styles and sizes of strut channel and uses a shear to cut the material. The small opening and shear-style cut is far more precise and does not produce a burr. Strut cutters are also more efficient than other methods of cutting and produce zero waste.
