Description

The JET GH-1660ZX is built for shops that need extended turning length without sacrificing spindle capacity or horsepower. With 60 inches between centers, a 3.15" spindle bore, and a 10HP 3-phase motor, this large spindle bore gear head lathe delivers the reach and torque required for longer shafts, rollers, hydraulic components, and heavy cylindrical parts.

The added bed length compared to 40" models expands job capability, allowing fabrication, MRO, and industrial repair shops to machine longer workpieces in a single setup — reducing repositioning time and improving accuracy across the entire part.

A D1-8 spindle nose supports heavy-duty workholding, while 12 spindle speeds (26–1500 RPM) provide the control needed for precision threading, deep boring, aggressive roughing, and finish turning.
