The Cantek C372 36″ Wide Belt Sander is compact and versatile. Featuring a combination sanding unit capable of performing both calibration and final sanding. The robust sanding unit and heavy-duty frame ensures optimal sanding results. The motorized thickness adjustment with digital thickness control allows for fast and accurate table adjustment. Sanding Heads 

The dual head design increases efficiency and flexibility by reducing the number of passes required to sand a panel to the desired result while also cutting down on costly setup time. The first head features a 7” diameter rubber contact drum, ideal for calibration sanding tasks. This robust drum ensures efficient material removal and precise surface leveling. The contact drum is powered by an independent 20HP motor. The versatile combi-head features a 5" diameter rubber contact drum with a 2" adjustable platen. The adjustable platen allows seamless transitions between calibration and fine sanding, enhancing efficiency and workflow. The platen is outfitted with a felt pad and covered in a friction resistant graphite cloth to produce a superior sanded finish.

Automatic Disc Brakes for Sanding Heads 

A pneumatic disc braking system swiftly stops the sanding heads when stopped or when a fault occurs on the machine. This enhances operator safety, machine safety, and reduces changeover time. Additionally, the sanding motors come equipped with Wye-Delta controls which reduce power consumption on startup.

Electronic Belt Tracking 

An advanced electronic belt tracking system uses a send-and-receive sensor that delivers pinpoint accuracy in detecting the sanding belt. This precision ensures the most reliable belt tracking increasing overall performance. The sanding head is equipped with belt overrun limit switches which are designed to shut down the machine in the event a belt over travels preventing damage to the belt.

Control Panel with Digital Thickness Setting 

The sander is equipped with a digital thickness control allowing for precision thickness adjustment. The control can be set in inch or metric with a resolution to 0.001” and 0.01mm. The table can also be jogged up or down using independent push buttons. The sanding head is equipped with an ammeter allowing the operator to monitor the load for optimal finish results and belt longevity. An hour meter helps keep track of operating time to better monitor regular maintenance intervals. There is a dial to adjust the inverter variable speed system. Safety features include a key lockout system and emergency stop button.

Conveyor Belt 

The reinforced rubber conveyor belt provides optimum grip while remaining very consistent in thickness for optimum sanding precision. A conveyor belt tracking system automatically tracks the belt to prevent it from running off to one side.

Table Elevation Jack Screws 

The table is raised and lowered by four industrial jack screws ensuring perfect flatness and added durability. The screws are covered with rubber bellows to prevent dust contamination.

Pneumatic Conveyor Belt Tracking 

The C372 is further enhanced with an automatic conveyor belt tracking system, a crucial feature designed to maintain precise alignment and prevent deviation. By continuously monitoring and adjusting the position of the conveyor belt, this cutting-edge technology ensures consistent centering, minimizing the risk of belt misalignment or tracking off to one side.

Variable Feed Speed 

The feed conveyor is powered by a 2HP motor with a variable feed pulley system enabling the operator to adjust the feed speed for various sanding applications, belt grits, wood species, for desired sanding results.

Pressure Hold Down Rollers 

The dual infeed and outfeed hold-down rollers to firmly secure the panel during sanding operations.

Safety Systems 

The C-series comes equipped with a wide range of features designed for both operator and machine safety. A safety bump bar on the infeed bed allows the operator to quickly shut the machine down even if their hands are in use. A material over height limit switch protects the machine from feeding thicker material than was intended. There are limit switches on the left and right access doors which will not allow the machine to run when left open. An emergency stop button is located in front and at the rear of the machine.
