Description

The CT-8 was designed from the ground up for professional tree growers.  It has time saving and heavy duty features plus accurate, changeable spacing with patented V-3 pockets.

Features

• Speed - The CT-8 has a drive system that gives a reported 25-30% gain in forward planting speeds.  With one person, the reported speeds have been 1000-1200 plants per hour. With two people, 1800 plants per hour were reported
• Shoe design - The shoe has a curved replaceable point.  This gives the unit added draft, and also causes it to lift the soil up rather than pack it against the sides of the furrow as with older style shoes.  This allows the roots of the plant to grow a full 360 degrees instead of just within the furrow.  The 12" deep shoe is made with the bracing and dirt shield as one to eliminate the shoe from becoming misaligned.
• Weight -  Dry weight is 865 lbs.  The CT-8 has two built in weight brackets up front and one at the rear of the unit for added weight over the coulter.
• Frame - The heavy duty frame is made of 5/8" x 3-1/2" steel and is hinged to allow the coulter and shoe to ride over rough spots, roots, stumps or stones independently so the unit will keep planting at all times.
• Coutler - a 28" coulter is used on a trailing yoke arm for self-alignment. This larger size coulter protects the deep point of the shoe.
• Gauge Wheels - Standard equipment to control planting depth and give the unit stability.
• Seat - One super molded cushion seat is standard (Two is optional)
• Plant boxes & Stands - Special large capacity plant boxes hold more plants.  The plant stands have built in skid plates for foot rests to protect your feet from fields.
