Multi-Spindle Boring Machine
The Minimax AD 21 is a single head multiple boring machine with 21 spindles ideal for craftsmen and professional
workshops. The head, made by Morbidelli, will bore vertically or horizontally with a positive stop at 45°. This machine is the
latest in a long line of boring machines manufactured by SCM GROUP. It features 5+11 quick change chucks, and is
designed around the 32mm system of cabinet making. It comes standard with a long fence, calibration tools, and two
pneumatic clamps.

BORING HEAD
The Minimax AD 21 boring head is made from one single casting. This guarantees the
absence of vibration while drilling. The boring unit runs on two cylindrical guides which
assures stability, and guarantees precision. The machine is equipped with a mechanical
revolver with five different boring depth adjustments. The efficient extraction design
minimizes dust build up.

CONTROLS
All the controls for the Minimax AD 21 are ergonomically positioned on the front of the
machine. This includes the switch which sets the boring head at a 45° angle, allowing for an
immediate changeover between operations. For perfect boring of large panels, the machine
has a long 3000 mm fence with a scale and retractable stops. The fence is quickly mounted
and removed easily.

FENCE
For boring of larger panels, the Minimax AD 21 has a 118” long fence
with a scale and retractable stops. The fence is mounted and removed
very easily.

CALIBRATION JIG
The mechanical calibration gauge guarantees fast and precise positioning
of the lateral, cast-iron fences that are standard on the Minimax AD 21.

DRILL HEAD POSITIONING
The Minimax AD 21 can drill vertically (line), horizontally (Construction), and also has a positive stop at 45° making it a more
versatile machine overall.
