This mill is very easy to operate. Blade height adjustment is made using a simple hand crank with chain and reduction sprockets. A brake locks the blade in place while sawing. To saw a log, you simply and easily push the carriage by hand down the length of the track. When you finish the cut, you clear the blade and pull the carriage back to the front.

An efficient 20 HP gasoline engine comes standard with all Baker 18M Portable Band Sawmill models.
